A Star Raises!! 

The Brazilian Model/ chef Larissa Costa is conquering the City of Angels!

I'm honored to share with all of you guys a great ONE ON ONE interview and photos of delicious dishes made by a chef/model  friend of mine, Larissa Costa, that has been conquering high end paladar into her cooking world in Los Angeles.

The secret??

I guess a combination of her magical hands and her good taste for food. Ah, also, having no cooking classes on her resume can be a secret too!

You must be wondering, how come,right?

Well, she is that good that no classes are necessary. That's my opinion!

She established her way to cook by creating her own style. That's what is so unique about her culinary!

You would not believe how her food taste like. Seriously!

I was at one of her weekly "Dinner nights", which consists in her arriving at the dinner's house and start cooking from scratch (coming up with a new recipe while she is cooking).

Pretty crazy, huh?

Her goal each dinner? Surprise the guests and herself with the results of the food!

Well, let me tell you about this specific dinner that Larissa cooked that I went.

It took place at Michael Scott's house. A beautiful house on the hills, huge rooms, everything else so gorgeous, including the kitchen. 

I got there and Larissa started setting up the tools and ingredients for her to initiate the journey. We started to talk a lot.I learned so much about her by talking and watching. I even helped her a little big. hahahahah. An assistant is always necessary (LOL).

After hours of cooking, tasting and embellishing plates, she was done!

I'm not surprised, she did not disappoint me with the dinner, the opposite, she actually surpassed all my expectations and everybody's else too. It tasted absolutely delicious.

One thing important to remember:

Not everybody can cook and impress famous actresses, directors, producers and big business men, but Larissa can. 

So, the sky is the limit for this girl!

The model/chef is managed by Marina Masowietsky, that keeps her busy and in the right direction in her modeling/chef career!

I believe it's all about believing in yourself, knowing the right people, being in right place and in time. That's what happened to Larissa!

Miley Cyrus Cuts it OFF for a Good Cause! New look!

Good news from Miley Cyrus! The girl went from sweet Hanna Montana to a beautiful mature actress, and now to a really fashion forward lady -  Hello Miley fashonista! 
Did you guys approve her new hair cut??
Here is Miley and I (2 years ago) at B2V hair Salon when she was getting long hair extensions by the talented hair stylist Ricardo Lauritzen.
Now the hair is all off!!

The results????? You see it yourself!

She did it!! OMG! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. That takes some guts!

My opinion?? 
It looks edgy and full of personality. Why not change?You rock Miley!
According to some blogs, the fans did not react very well to her new transformation, and as much as she loves her fans, the answer to everybody who is dropping off "NOT COOL" comments is: "If you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all. My hair is attached to my head no one else's and it's going bye bye ;)" .
She died it very blond in addition to the EXTREME HAIR CUT! 
The multi-task young star (Singer, actress and fashionista) claims that her fiance' Liam Hemsworth loved it and said that has never seen Miley that happy. So, what else do you need if you love one approve the new look??
Many are wondering why she did it, well, and even though there is not confirmation from Miley or proof of it yet, rumors say that it was for a good cause. She did it for the cancer patients. The info that has been around is that the star donated the hair to Locks of Love intitute. 
I guess wheather it was for a "good cause" or not, Miley loved her new look and she cannot stop tweeting pictures of it.

My Visit to Chicago - A Wonderful City

Hello my fabulous people,

Here I am for the first time in Chicago, IL. What a wonderful place!
This city is so beautiful that I would even consider living here. 
That's how much I fell in love with it!
People are so nice, sweet and friendly.... The city is HUGE, but the good news is: it's calm and clean. It's a smaller and less hectic than NY, which I also love.
Since I love fashion, I've looked around and noticed that besides lots of tourists walking around, we see lots of business men and women walking around in dressy suits. No fashion forward outfits seen yet!!! 
Well, here are some photos of my first and second day here. So far so great!
I'm enjoying the weather more than anything else just because I'm Brazilian and I absolutely love the heat!
Thanks to Mimi Guzman (this amazing baker friend of mine) for inviting me to come along in this adventurous trip. She rocks! 
We've been lucky to be surrounded by people who is glad to show us all the wonderful Chicago famous spots. We are definitely having a blast together!

Brazilian Summer Beauty Pageant this Saturday - Don't Miss out!

Before I even start talking about this coming Saturday Summer Beauty's pageant, I want to give you guys a bit update of where I am.
I was confirmed and excited to be one of the judges for the Brazilian Summer Beauty  but I had to rush to Chicago for a last minute adventure, so, here I am.
Even out of town till Sunday, I want to show my support to this event that shows lots of my country's culture and beauty.

Brazilian Blow Dry Bar Photoshoot Day - Behind the Scenes

Are you guys enjoying our sunny summer so far?
I hope you are, because I've a lot to tell you about my summer. Starting from the story of my Sunday today!
If you love beautiful boats/ yachts you would've loved the boat ride I had today. For sure it was a day to remember. Tons of adrenaline happened while we were in the middle of the ocean! 
It was a gorgeous day out and we took advantage of the sun to do a bikini photoshoot for the Brasilian Blow Dry Bar ,a brand new hair salon at Sunset Plaza area.
You guys might be asking, what a bikini photoshoot has to do with a beauty salon specialized in blow dry, right?
Oh well, all I can say is: It's all about Brazil. Brazilian hair, blow dries, hair-dos, braids and Brazilian girls, of course. So, the results are SURPRISE till the real photos come up!

Every week I post a fashion piece at the BDCi TV - News - Website. Visit my Fashion Spotlight column and check out my fashion tips.
This week I picked the peplum style to talk about and here it is.

Simply Peplum Fever

LOS ANGELES, CA (BDCi) -- This week I chose the peplum style as our fashion topic, and Kim Kardashian happens to be the celebrity I chose to use as an example. She has been seen around lately wearing this unique style.

The peplum was first featured by Dior in the 1950s. It is a very feminine, fun and romantic also sexy style that can be extremely versatile. The trend was worn by some of the famous actresses of that time.

Half a century later, the peplum is back and designers such as Burberry, Christian Dior and Jason Wuagain have been featuring it back on the catwalks. This year’s runways were filled with the peplum trend.

How about Kim Kardashian? Honestly, she looks great in every single dress, shirt or pants she wears, in my opinion. Not only her, but other celebrities such as Blake Lively and Jenifer Hudson, also love the trend. They all look amazing!

To start today, I would like to share some ideas. I am a big fan of Kim Kardashian’s style.  And she is the perfect example of a woman’s figure that will fit all sizes. In summary, you don’t have to be skinny or to have a certain figure to look good in clothing. Seriously!

So, let’s begin. These tips about the trend will give you ladies some helpful idea on whether or not to embrace the style.

Rule that applies for this trend: Since peplum garments are usually tight fitting around the waist and larger on the hips, you must wear something tight on the bottom to give your body the curves it deserves, that way you are able to balance the look.

If you are not sure how it will look on you, start by getting a peplum shirt or dress that can be found at some of the less expensive stores (A list is provided below). It’s a good start. But, if you want to invest a little more money, you can find better quality pieces at department stores such as: Macys, Bloomingdales, and Neiman Marcus, that will give you nicer, but pricier options that might fit your body better!

Where to wear it? You can dress a peplum top for a night out or wear it more casual for an everyday event, like I said before; it’s a really versatile look.

And if you are one of those shoppers that are looking for great deals from other popular brands, I salute you, good job! For the spring and summer 2012, this trend can be found at: Zara, H&M, Urban Outfitters, Express, and Forever 21.
